All PSI members and their families are invited to the cookout as well as anyone who is interested in meeting our awesome group of investigators!!!!!
All that is required is for you to bring food to the cookout (ie - burgers, buns, weiners, chips, drinks, etc).
Bring comfy chairs, bring horse-shoes, bring a volley-ball net for those who want to get all sweaty. We are thinking of having some fun things for the kids to do as well!! The playground will be across the street where parents can take their kids to play.
Cooks and volunteer pavilion sitters are requested. I will get there early to get a good pavilion, but will need some help in securing our area.
Possible investigation of nearby area after all the kids have gone home.
PM me if interested and we will get a thread going, so everyone can RSVP and give us an idea of what they are bringing.
Looking foward to seeing everyone!!!!!!!!

 | Atlanta's Castle needs defending
By Ken Sugiura The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Published on: 11/15/07 The Castle, a Midtown landmark that former Atlanta Mayor Andrew Young once called a "hunk of junk," was named Wednesday as one of 10 "Places in Peril" by the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation. The turreted building at Peachtree and 15th streets, which now stands empty and deteriorating, joins other endangered sites across the Peach State that include a lighthouse on Tybee Island, a high school in Macon and a jail in Greenville."They're all pretty much in jeopardy," said Greg Paxton, president and CEO of the Georgia Trust. This is the third annual list of buildings or areas in the state that the nonprofit group fears could be lost because of disuse or neglect. The Castle was completed in 1910 by Atlanta industrialist Ferdinand McMillan. The mammoth edifice is in disrepair —- roof tiles are missing and the interior is sustaining water damage. The building is privately owned but has not been used in decades, Paxton said. He added that there is a possible buyer and "we're very enthusiastic about the potential" for the building to be rehabbed. The trust, an 8,000-member organization, promotes, preserves and protects the state's historic places and buildings. The Castle building is the only Atlanta site on the endangered list."Most of these buildings represent a whole class of properties," he said. "For example, there are a number of county jails that are in a similar status [as the one in Greenville]."Paxton said he hoped the buildings could be used for new purposes, like turning a 19th-century warehouse in coastal Darien into a restaurant or office. The Meriwether County Jail in Greenville, built in 1896 in modified Italianate villa style, could be a museum, archives or office.State archaeologists hope the listing of the Sunbury Historic Colonial Town site will bring attention and financial aid. Sunbury, about 20 miles south of Savannah, was a port city in the Colonial period rivaling Savannah for importance, according to Armstrong Atlantic State University history professor Chris Hendricks. It was captured and destroyed by the British in the Revolutionary War and never recovered. Hendricks calls the area, which is privately owned, "an archaeological treasure trove."However, property around the site has been developed and Hendricks worries that, if sold, "it could all just be bulldozed."PLACES ON THE ENDANGERED LISTMeriwether County Jail in Greenville A.L. | What is The Telephone To The Dead (TTTD)? Can spirits communicate with us in real time? Was Thomas Edison working on a device such as this before his passing? What does Thomas Edison think about this development? Will these devices work for everyone? Is there any possible danger?
Join us on Wednesday December 12th at 9pm EST for a live chat with leading paranormal investigator Christopher Moon. In 2004 Christopher was given the opportunity to begin testing a new technology, a device which promised real time two-way communication with the other side. In the years following, an amazing relationship has formed between Christopher and the spirit technicians and guides who assist him.
Christopher has used this awesome responsibility to assist spirits not yet crossed over, to aid police with clues from deceased victims, and most recently, to connect the living with lost loved ones. Those who have experienced a session with Christopher and the TTTD are nothing short of amazed, frequently describing the experience as life altering.
This event will take place via a live streaming audio and video chat room enabling people from any distance to take part. Watch and listen to Christopher and the TTTD while chatting with your friends! Schedule for approximate 2 hr. Event:
*Opening Presentation: History Developments
*Q and A: Interactive via Chat Room and moderator
*15 minute break
*TTTD Readings: First 25 people to register for the event are guaranteed one question to the TTTD. Questions will be asked live. If time and energy allow, questions will be allowed from other attendees.
*15 minute break
*Recent Developments and Production of TTTD Knock-Off's: Hear what Christopher and the other side have to say about this development. Did the Catholic church warn of this over one year ago? What are the possible dangers? *Q and A: Interactive via Chat Room and moderator
Cost of the event: $25.00 per person, $40.00 per couple. Payments will be accepted via PayPal to babiarz3@yahoo.com . Confirmation will be sent once payment is received. On Monday, December 10th, an email will be sent to you with the chat room information and your sign-in name. If you sign on with an incorrect non-registered name you will be removed from the chat room. Remember that only the first 25 people registered are guaranteed the opportunity to ask Christopher and the TTTD a question.
Event Rules: Considering the recent developments, we understand the attention this event will bring. Mature comments and questions are welcomed. However, we reserve the right to remove anyone who does not conduct themselves in an adult manner. Profanity, slander, name calling, etc. will not be allowed. Failure to follow these rules will result in removal from the chat room with no refund of monies. We ask that all attendees allow for the enjoyment of everyone and appreciate your understanding.
Thank you and we look forward to a lively, intellectual discussion.
